Summary

Department of International Communications and Strategic Studies Kiev Aviation Institute In the article, the problem of bringing Orthodoxy to the present day has been investigated. The concept of theology of reality is proposed – a theological approach to comprehend the specifics, main trends, problems and trends of the daily world. The concept of theology of contingency is a set of methods and approaches that allow one to assess contingency through the means of Orthodox theology and identify its religious potential for actualization Orthodox mission. Orthodoxy has two approaches to reality: critical and constructive. As the first one closes himself to the light and condemns his innovations, the other, presenting documents to the Ecumenical Patriarchate, develops an open approach to the present as a space for the mission of the Church. This approach will require further refinement and detail. Analysis of the current situation reveals that the mission of the Church takes place in the hours of a new geopolitical situation, in the middle of which Ukraine has become. In the wider world, humanity is living in a global media reality of a post-secular world, as the turn to religion coincides with the ever-increasing awareness of virtual technologies and piece intelligence. The development of the world will soon change the socio-political and cultural reality of the world, as it affects the life of the Church. It is time to create a full-fledged Orthodox social doctrine in which the Church promotes understanding of the global problems of mankind. The Church is called upon to convey to the world a thoughtful position in response to the demands of information technology civilization and environmental problems; formation of political nations and social justice; multipolar world and fierce aggression; the conflict between liberal and authoritarian regimes; economical development and inequality; problems of scientific and technological development and mass digitalization will arise; Virtualization of auxiliary containers and the revolution of piece intelligence. On the hour there is a religious assessment of new problems and issues related to the future of humanity. Without an emphasis on the most pressing problems, it is possible to switch the Ukrainian Church from an emphasis on conflicts of jurisdiction to internal changes. The prospect of further research is important in analyzing the potential of such changes and the importance of modernizing Ukrainian Orthodoxy.

Key words: modern theology, reform of Orthodoxy, renewal, tradition, traditionalism, postsecularity.
