Editorial ethics

The editorial board of the scientific journal “Volynskyi Blahovisnyk” adheres to the publication ethics policy in accordance with international standards and recommendations of the Committee on Ethics of Scientific Publications (COPE).

All participants in the editorial and publishing process: authors, reviewers, editors, members of the editorial board and the publisher must adhere to the established ethical principles and requirements.

The purpose of the policy is to ensure high quality of scientific publications, prevent unscrupulous practices and support academic integrity.

Ethical obligations of authors:
Authors submit only original works created by themselves and not previously published.

All external sources of information, quotes, ideas or data must be properly formatted.

Plagiarism in any form, including self-plagiarism, is prohibited.

Data accessibility and verifiability:
Authors must provide the original research data at the request of the editorial office, unless this contradicts the law and ethical norms.

Research data should be collected, processed, and presented fairly and accurately.

Avoiding multiple or duplicate submissions:
Authors should not submit a manuscript to more than one publication at the same time.

Duplicate publication of results without substantial changes and appropriate citations is prohibited.

Authorship and Contribution:
All individuals listed as authors should have made a significant intellectual contribution to the research.

Individuals who have made a supporting contribution should be listed in the Acknowledgements section.

Conflict of Interest:
Authors should openly declare any potential conflicts of interest that may affect the results or interpretation of the research.

Research Ethical Standards:
Studies involving humans or animals should comply with international and national ethical standards.

Authors should provide proof of approval of the research by the appropriate ethics committee/commission (if applicable).

Ethical Obligations of Reviewers.

Objectivity and impartiality:
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts solely on the basis of their scientific quality.

Personal biases or prejudices towards authors are unacceptable.

Confidentiality:
All materials received for review are confidential.

Discussion or use of the contents of the manuscript without the permission of the editorial office of the publication is prohibited.

Conflict of interest:
Reviewers are obliged to refuse to review if there is any conflict of interest (personal, professional or financial).

Promptness and responsibility:
Reviewers must provide reasoned and constructive feedback within the specified time.

Abuse of review to delay the publication of competitors is unacceptable.

Independence and objectivity:
Editors make decisions on the publication of an article based on its scientific significance and quality.

Political, commercial or other external factors should not influence the decisions of the editorial board of the publication.

Confidentiality:
The editorial board of the publication does not disclose information from the manuscripts to third parties, except for the authors, reviewers and the publisher.

Conflict of interest management:
In the event of a conflict of interest, the editor of the publication transfers the consideration of the manuscript to another member of the editorial board.

Ensuring the quality of publications:
Editors are responsible for organizing double-blind review.

In case of violations of ethical norms, the editorial board takes appropriate measures in accordance with the COPE recommendations.

Unacceptable forms of scientific dishonesty: Plagiarism; Fabrication and falsification of data; False information about authors or results; Manipulation of the review process; Unlawful disclosure of confidential information; Procedures for responding to possible violations.

Initial review:
The editorial board of the publication analyzes all allegations of possible ethical violations and, if necessary, initiates an investigation.

Investigation:
If violations are confirmed, the editorial board of the publication conducts a detailed investigation in accordance with the COPE algorithms.

Possible measures of influence:
Rejection of the manuscript.

Correction, withdrawal or deletion of the published article.

Prohibition on submitting works to the journal for a certain period.

Informing the institutions of the authors.

Policy on withdrawal and correction of materials

In case of detection of significant errors or violations, the editorial board of the publication may publish corrections, remarks or withdrawal of the article.

All decisions on withdrawal are made in accordance with COPE standards.

Principles of open access and licensing

The editorial board of the publication supports the policy of open access to scientific results.

License terms are specified separately and are mandatory for authors to comply with.

Archiving and Preservation of Materials

The editorial board of the publication ensures long-term archiving and accessibility of published materials through reliable repositories.

The publication ethics policy may be updated in accordance with changes in international standards or COPE recommendations.
