Summary

The proposed attention of the readers of the article explores the phenomenon of the continuation of the Ukrainian Christ-centered-Christ-imitating Volodymyr tradition during the existential-intellectual and socio-historical trials of the last century. It is emphasized that only the love of Christ and the immanent, nourished, social moral and ethical mutual respect, as the Lord proclaims in His Word, “that all may be one” are the true foundation of the Christ-inherited brotherhood between nations and between peoples. The Church, as an institution of one people subject to the authority and will of another people, will never be able to conform to the will of the Holy Spirit. The refore, brotherhood in Christ can in no way and under no circumstances be a form of slavery. Therefore, it cannot be any form of subjugation of one nation to another. It is in no way a means of subjugating one Church of Christ, where the Lord is glorified in the language given by Him to the church-state institutions of another people. The article emphasizes: Christ’s brotherhood is not oppression. This is all-encompassing respect between peoples, nations, and Churches. Christ’s brotherhood is not based on rape, but on sacrificial love of neighbor. “And whosoever is chief among you, let him be your servant.” This is what the Lord says in the Scriptures. Also, attention in intelligence is focused on the spiritual and philosophical understanding of the leading axiological constants of Vladimir’s baptism in the discourse of the realities of the XX–XXI centuries. In related axiological dimensions and semiotic discourses, the spiritual and ideological universe, the symbolic provisions of the Second Council of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church, and the visions of their actualization in the newest Orthodox discourse of the Third Millennium are outlined. In view of the above, the following axiological constant from the Transcript of the Second Council of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church in 1927 seems relevant for the existence and development of Ukrainian Orthodoxy in the 21 century: expelled from the Church. “This moral and ethical axiom emphasizes the above concepts. Theologians of the Second Council of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church were well aware of the danger of poisoning Ukrainian, mostly Orthodox, society with the destructive influences of imperial ideology, which had nothing to do with Volodymyr’s Baptism or, most importantly, faith in Jesus Christ. Given the new and newest hybrid reality, such a prognostic warning of Ukrainian theologians of the twentieth century is perceived as quite natural.

Key words: Christocentrism, Truth, II Council of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church, tradition, brotherhood in Christ, spiritual and national identity, ideology, simulacrum.
