Summary
This article will discuss the notion of holiness. Holinessin XXI century. What is the path to holiness in the modern world and how this was achieved by other saints. Understanding holiness for a modern person and explaining if a person in this environment can become a saint. But how Jesus Christ taught holiness. Very often in the modern world, we hear the word ‘holy’, and many do not understand the term and the meaning of the word, because many think that the word has already lost its validity. However, this article does raise the issue of ‘holiness’, in particular the understanding of the word itself, which will help many to understand that ‘holiness’ in the modern world has not lost its role, but on the contrary is further combined with our lives. The goal is to open the path to holiness in the modern world. Understand exactly what the essence of holiness is and whether it can be achieved today. The modern environment dictates its conditions, stereotypes, selfunderstanding and life in general. Holiness requires separation and at the same time participation; elimination and at the same time involvement. Things are not the main thing in the life of a holy man. The life of a Christian should differ in moderation, abstinence from luxury and lack of showability. The saint knows that all his possessions are given to him by God for a wise instruction; he is ready to get rid of everything for the sake of the Lord. Holy people do not neglect the things of this world, but they are not in bondage to things. Saints do not look stealthily on all sides, comparing the impression they make with the impression others make. A holy man should be free from proprietary passion and other forms of selfishness. One must understand that holiness lies not only in the ascetic way of life, but also in the daily life of mankind.
Key words: holiness, holy, man, Holy Scripture, Bible, holyman, life.
