Man, because of the way he was created by God himself, naturally has the sense of God. At the same time, he seeks to know Him and relate to Him again, to return to the initial state of dialogue he had with God before his gift from Heaven. It is very important for every Christian and especially for every priest to be able to know in depth the teaching of the Fathers and our Church. Orthodox anthropology must engage in dialogue with contemporary bioethical problems related to anthropology. A topic that concerns modern people more and more, euthanasia. Euthanasia as a part of bioethics is directly related to the place of suffering in human life and the consideration of death and we will examine it within the framework of Christian ethics but also in a heteronomous and autonomous perspective. In the Divine Liturgy we beseech God: \u201cChristians, the ends of our lives, painless, shameless, peaceful, and a good apology for the terrible step of Christ, we ask\u201d. Various questions arise in our mind. So do we as humans have the right to substitute God? Do we have the right to decide when to end our lives? Is euthanasia a veiled suicide and a \u201clegal\u201d murder or is it acceptable by our Church. More generally, euthanasia has been an important issue in recent years, which has many critics as well as many supporters. Death is an inevitable event for all people and especially for Christians. E. Kubler-Ross underlines: \u201cDeath is not an enemy to be defeated or a prison to be avoided. It is an integral part of our lives that gives meaning to human existence. It limits our duration in life and spurs us, as long as we have time, to create.\u201d Death, the most terrible mystery, is the separation of man\u2019s soul from his body according to the divine will. In euthanasia the divine will is replaced by the human, which brings to the surface a dialectic with arguments for or against and considerations. The fact of euthanasia is not a phenomenon that appeared in the last two centuries, we already meet it from the 1st century BC. In particular, Strabo the geographer, when he visited Kea (Tzia), makes a reference to the Law of Iulis that was applied already from the 4th AD. century and writes about it: \u201cpresetate gar, as a house, the law of them over sixty years of the event is reaped and to last the food for others\u201d. Christian anthropology is an important chapter of Christian Orthodox Theology. Man, because of the way he was created by God himself, naturally has the sense of God. At the same time, he seeks to know Him and relate to Him again, to return to the initial state of dialogue he had with God before his gift from Heaven. It is very important for every Christian and especially for every priest to be able to know in depth the teaching of the Fathers and our Church. Orthodox anthropology must engage in dialogue with contemporary bioethical problems related to anthropology. A topic that concerns modern people more and more, euthanasia. Euthanasia as a part of bioethics is directly related to the place of suffering in human life and the consideration of death and we will examine it within the framework of Christian ethics but also in a heteronomous and autonomous perspective. In the Divine Liturgy we beseech God: &#8220;Christians, the ends of our lives, painless, shameless, peaceful, and a good apology for the terrible step of Christ, we ask&#8221;. Various questions arise in our mind. So do we as humans have the right to substitute God? Do we have the right to decide when to end our lives? Is euthanasia a veiled suicide and a &#8220;legal&#8221; murder or is it acceptable by our Church. More generally, euthanasia has been an important issue in recent years, which has many critics as well as many supporters. Death is an inevitable event for all people and especially for Christians. E. Kubler-Ross underlines: \u201cDeath is not an enemy to be defeated or a prison to be avoided. It is an integral part of our lives that gives meaning to human existence. It limits our duration in life and spurs us, as long as we have time, to create.&#8221; Death, the most terrible mystery, is the separation of man&#8217;s soul from his body according to the divine will. In euthanasia the divine will is replaced by the human, which brings to the surface a dialectic with arguments for or against and considerations. The fact of euthanasia is not a phenomenon that appeared in the last two centuries, we already meet it from the 1st century BC. In particular, Strabo the geographer, when he visited Kea (Tzia), makes a reference to the Law of Iulis that was applied already from the 4th AD. century and writes about it: &#8220;presetate gar, as a house, the law of them over sixty years of the event is reaped and to last the food for others&#8221;.
